How do I download songs from your IRC server ?

To download songs from our IRC server, you  must be connected thru Mirc or any other IRC client software, if you are connected thru web our web page then you can not download songs.

Once you are connected thru IRC all you have to do is type !AfghanSite in the #afghanistan and a dcc window will pop up and you type all the commands in there

What commands do I need to know in order to download songs?

What command do I need to know in order to download those songs?

The commands you need to know are these

dir = directory listings   usage dir

cd = change directory  usage cd folder name or cd directory name

cd .. = go one directory up  usage cd ..

get = get the file usage  get the whole song name.mp3

help = get more help on all commands, usage help

Example: Lets say you have just connected thru IRC and you are in the channel #Afghanistan, you must type !AfghanSite and a new window will pop up, there you must type all those commands, first thing you do is type dir and all the content of the folder will come up ( meaning all the listings of all the folders which are holding the songs). Lets say you want to go inside the directory called SHEKEB OSMANI you need to type cd SHEKEB OSMANI , once you in there you have to do a dir again, and you will see name of all songs in that folder, lets say you want this song 1.dilem dilem, shekeb osmani copyright ©1999 www.afghansite.c.mp3 to download that song you must type this command get 1.dilem dilem, shekeb osmani copyright ©1999 www.afghansite.c.mp3

Some people get confused between a folder and a file, please remember that a folder (directory) hold the songs inside, and it can also hold other folder/s (directory/ies) if you see a  name.mp3 then you know its a file and not a folder folders don't have a extension.

Example: We will just do commands only on above explained.

    1.  !AfghanSite
    2. dir
    3. cd SHEKEB OSMANI
    4. dir
    5. get 1.dilem dilem, shekeb osmani copyright ©1999 www.afghansite.c.mp3

How do I send messages to otheres who are not on line?

You can only send message to user who have their nick name registered and are not on line.  As soon as the come on line and enter the chat they will get a message saying:
[13:29] -MemoServ- You have 1 new memo.
[13:29] -MemoServ- To view a list of your memos type: /MemoServ LIST

Now MemoServ is the services which we have here to keeps track of your messages.  To see if a nick name is registered or not, you type /ns info NickName, it will give you all the info about the particular nick name. Exp. /ns info admin will tell you the info about he nick Admin.  Now once you know the nick is registered you can send him/her message even if he/she is not on line by typing /ms send Nickname [Your message here]. Exp. /ms send admin how nick of your to make this faq for us.  If you have online message and like to see them type /ms list , this would list all the messages which you have by numbered index, like 1 2 3 4..., and you can read them by typing /ms read index exp. /ms read 1. to delete them you type /ms del index exp. /ms delete 1, for more info about MemoServ type /ms help

Example: I will check if nick Admin is registered and if yes I'll  send a message to him.

/ns info Admin
/ms send Admin this is pretty cool

Now Admin joins the chat and sees that he has messages and checks them by :
/ms list
/ms read 1 /ms del 1
